Shein sizing is notoriously inconsistent — even within the same order, two Mediums can fit completely differently. The brand uses many manufacturers, each with its own standards.
Universal rule: ignore the S/M/L label entirely. Click 'Size Guide' on every individual product and check the bust, waist, hip, and length measurements in cm.
Most Shein items run 1–2 US sizes small. If you wear a US 8, expect to order an L or XL.
Check reviews with photos. Shein lets buyers post fit photos and their height/weight — this is the single most reliable signal.
Stretchy fabrics (rayon blends, knits) are more forgiving. Stiff fabrics (denim, structured tops) are where sizing mistakes hurt the most.
